Yeah, I'm real happy. I just got through moving one of my GoDaddy dedicated server customers over to a Linux shared on my reseller plan and he says his sites are coming up faster than when he was on a dedicated solution. Any email issues that I ever experienced have all but vanished with this new solution. Jason was also right in that the HSphere control panel, once you get used to it, is awesome for managing everything. You know what a pain it is to try to put one client on a Windows box and another on Linux and then try to track all the login info, etc. Man, with this control panel, it's all so seamless. And you get real control...I had a client that needed a dedicated IP for his site because he needed me to install an SSL cert. With any solution I had before, I needed to contact either a sales rep or place an order, wait for them to authorize it, and then their tech support would get around to doing the DNS change on the account. Heck, GoDaddy would take a minimum of 24 hours to do this. Not with HSphere. You click a Dedicated IP link next to your current IP, it manages the billing and charges the client's card for the monthly fee, and a second later your account has a dedicated IP with DNS already managed. I was blown away how quickly I could handle installing an SSL cert for a client. It used to take me hours of my time. |

I found myself in a bit of pitch when I went to update a site and the system would not allow me to overwrite the old files. The site went down, which was a big problem because it was for a high profile client that receives lots of web traffic and they depend on the site to be up and running. In a panic I decided to use OI's internet chat feature and was connected with a tech by the name of BL. He was able to get the site up and running as well as make some server adjustments to PHP and Apachee.
